Deiseb a wrthodwyd Allow free parking for workers in city centres

Something that was introduced in lockdown by Welsh Government was free parking, for those making essential travel to work and to do their shopping. This was a very useful strategy for myself, since during lockdown, I worked every week. For those who are on minimum wage, it can cost one hour of working to park, when an all day ticket can cost up to £7. So in order for me to get to work, I must waste an hour of my wages on parking.

The Welsh Government could introduce, is a pass, similar to a parking permit, except it allows cheaper/free parking for those going to work. For example, on my way into a multi-storey, before I reach the barrier, I can scan my pass or when I get to the pay and display, I enter my car registration number, which the pass is assigned to. An alternative might be, there could be a section in car parks where only those with the working pass can stay all day.
This would make people’s lives much easier, especially when they’re trying to make a distant income and don’t have to worry about losing an hour of pay a day, just to park.

Pam gwrthodwyd y ddeiseb hon?

Mae’n ymwneud â rhywbeth nad yw’r Senedd na Llywodraeth Cymru yn gyfrifol amdano.

Mae Deddf Rheoli Traffig 2004 yn darparu mai’r awdurdodau lleol sy’n gyfrifol am bolisi sy'n ymwneud â pharcio a gorfodi sifil yn eu priod ardaloedd heblaw am feysydd parcio preifat.

Ni all deisebau i’r Senedd ymwneud â mater y mae gan awdurdod lleol gyfrifoldeb gweithredol drosto ac, felly, ni allwn dderbyn deiseb sy’n ymdrin â’r mater hwn.

Yn hytrach, gallech ystyried cysylltu â Chyngor Abertawe neu’ch cynrychiolydd lleol i drafod y mater.

Dim ond deisebau nad ydynt yn bodloni’r safonau ar gyfer deisebau y byddwn yn eu gwrthod
