Deiseb a wrthodwyd Indefinitely withhold support for the expansion of the UK's nuclear weapons arsenal.
I'd like the Senedd to move proactively by withholding their support for the expansion of Trident.
Currently, the UK Government has announced that they will be increasing the stock of Trident by 40%. I, and I expect the people of Wales, believe that this is a worrying move.
Is it really in the Welsh public's interest to be part of this expansion? Does this make us safer?
Soon, the Welsh Parliament must ask itself; "What side of history do we want to be on?".
Let's make it the right side.

The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, adopted by the United Nations was entered into force on the 22nd of January this year. This effectively makes it illegal to expand our stockpiles.

This affects the whole United Kingdom in a way that will shape the world, especially due to the UK's place on the Permanent Security Council. In the same way as the Senedd moved to reject the Brexit withdrawal Bill, we must move to reject this blatant international antagonism.
