User should have the ability to recover their account through alternative verification methods especially when the current method is inaccessible.

Recently I found myself locked out of my AppleID account due to an unfamiliar phone number linked to my 2FA settings .This number is non-UK and I have no way to changing it, Which has resulted the years worth loss of family photos and academic material.Despite my attempts to provide valid identification, billing information and other means of verification, Apple has not offered alternative methods to regain access to
My account.
I am initiating a petition advocating for the implementation of mandated policies requiring companies that manage personal data to offer alternative verification methods for 2FA .It is imperative that technology firms adapt to ensure that users can maintain access to there data especially in cases where the standard verification method fails or is unavailable.
