Deiseb a wrthodwyd Introduce the same standards as The Local Authorities (Petitions) (England) Order 2010, to Wales

The Senedd debated petition 245548 concerning 20mph speed limits across Wales. It then acted to delegate decision making to local authorities as a result of that petition & debate. We believe that if Wales had an Act of law the same as "The Local Authorities (Petitions) (England) Order 2010, then it would not have been able to take that action. Due to the fact that between 10% to 30% of voters in every electorate of Wales, signed petition 245548 to Abolish 20mph speed limits. Even using MP areas

Rhagor o fanylion

The Senedd should enact a law that brings in the same regulations as England.

The Senedd also should consider that its standards for petitions and local petitions should already be the same as in England and that it should already work to the same standards as England in petitions and petition regulations for both Senedd and Local authorities.

If you were working to the same standards then the voters of Wales would already be entitled to either multiple local referendums from the Secretary of State for 20mph speed limits, or one National Welsh referendum over the matter.

There is debate also that because of other acts, such as "The Local Authorities (Referendums) (Petitions) (England) Regulations 2011 and similar acts, that the model for this is well established and active in Wales if you use the MPs of Wales electoral areas for UK parliament, then it is debatable and with valid claim to debate that the Secretary of State for Transport can give referendums by UK parliament area
