Deiseb a wrthodwyd Block Cardiff Councils Plans to Relocate Lansdowne Road, without transparency on the Return date

Cardiff council are relocating the pupils at Lansdowne Primary school, to temporary vaccination units purchased by the council sited at the old Fitzalan high school.
The council have had no consultations with the parents or the community, and there is no transparency when or if the pupils will return to Lansdowne Primary School. There are many issues that have arisen alongside.
Uncertainty Around long term plans
Impact on future enrollment and the community
Concerns over education strategy

Neglect of historic schools
Safeguarding of primary children from PRU teenagers

I am deeply concerned that this relocation is not about safeguarding children’s education but rather about paving the way for the permanent closure of Lansdowne Primary and its sale for development. This would be a tragedy for our community and a betrayal of the families who rely on this school.

I therefore urge you to take the following actions:
• Call on Cardiff Council to halt the relocation plans until a full, transparent consultation has been conducted with parents, staff, and the community.
• Ensure an independent review is carried out to assess the feasibility of refurbishing Lansdowne Primary School and maintaining it as a vital part of our local education system.
• Oppose any plans for large “super schools” that would undermine the quality of education and wellbeing of our children.
