Deiseb a wrthodwyd Commission an investigation into the WRU's running and handling of rugby in Wales.

Welsh rugby is currently in a dark place. We are seeing losses of the men's national team in double figures. We are seeing our four professional regions delivering some of the worst results they have seen in their history. Apparently, we cannot afford to pay our professional players. Yet we can afford to send retired blazer clad board members on first class flights to every overseas tour, or world cup that the team encounters. They outweigh the number of players and coaching staff.

Rhagor o fanylion

Ticket prices are increasing, yet players wages & the amounts of money both regions and local grass roots clubs are receiving are reducing. Where's the money going? Something is wrong at the top.

Junior rugby sides have been folding en masse for years now. Coinciding with the rise of football in Wales. First the Swans and Cardiff getting promoted, then Wales qualifying for the Euros, and more recently Wrexham's Hollywood appeal have lured kids away from rugby. The WRU have done literally nothing to lure children back to rugby. No effort to visit as many schools or local rugby teams to entice thema as possible. Those kids that left to play football a decade ago, would be now at or reaching senior age, so our talent pool is severely depleted. Yet Warren Gatland has been made a scapegoat to hide their failure.

The whole, "getting selected," to play for a region in itself is corrupt, being who you know not how talented you are. They only scout college teams, which avoids a large percentage of talent.
