Deiseb a wrthodwyd Introduce certificates for pregnancy loss in Wales. This should match what is available in England.

Certification of baby loss doesn’t exist for people in Wales. UK government have introduced baby loss certificates for families in England who have lost babies prior to 24 weeks. People who endure the same, who live in Wales are unable to have a certificate of their pregnancy loss. In England, back dated certificates are issued as a record of pregnancy loss. In Wales there is nothing. Scotland have a condolence book which I believe to also be inadequate. Wales is behind England with the policy.

English residents can:
Request a baby loss certificate
You can get a certificate in memory of your baby if your pregnancy ends before 24 weeks (or 28 weeks if your pregnancy ended before 1 October 1992).

It’s free to get a certificate.

You do not need to request a certificate if you prefer not to. It’s optional.

Pam gwrthodwyd y ddeiseb hon?

Mae deiseb yn bodoli eisoes ar y mater hwn. Ni allwn dderbyn deiseb newydd os oes un yn bodoli eisoes ar fater tebyg iawn, neu os yw’r Pwyllgor Deisebau wedi ystyried deiseb debyg yn ystod y flwyddyn ddiwethaf.

Dim ond deisebau nad ydynt yn bodloni’r safonau ar gyfer deisebau y byddwn yn eu gwrthod
