Deiseb a wrthodwyd Stop the flats in Llandudno being refurbished to house asylum seekers
Title: Halt the refurbishment of [Flats] for housing asylum seekers in Llandudno
Reasoning:
"We, the residents of [Llandudno & surrounding areas] petition ( Home Office contractor Clear Springs Ready Homes ) to cease plans to refurbish flats in Llandudno for the accommodation of individuals entering the UK illegally or awaiting asylum decisions.
Our local community and public services are under significant strain & we believe housing to be prioritised for our own local residents.

The decision over the flats in LLandudno has drawn criticism from two local Reform councillors who have raised concerns about funding and "fairness". Louise Emery and Tom Montgomery argue the properties should be "prioritised" for local people.
A statement from the Conwy Reform Group said: "When there are hundreds of families on a waiting list for homes in the Llandudno area, priority has to be for those residents.
Our own citizens do not feel safe on our own streets and to house asylum seekers in a Welsh town which attracts a vast amount of elderly people and young children is ludicrous & unsafe for our own UK citizens !
The continuation of such refurbishments will destroy this town & put a heavy strain on businesses already fighting to stay afloat in this financial crisis
