Deiseb a wrthodwyd Stop Cardiff Council's decision to become a City of Sanctuary.

Housing shortages are acute in many UK cities, including Cardiff. Adding to the pressure without adequate national funding or infrastructure often leads to overcrowding, longer waits for social housing, and competition that hits lower-income local families hardest. Similarly, schools and GP surgeries operate under strain; rapid demographic changes without sufficient planning can dilute service quality for everyone.

Cardiff’s existing communities—Welsh, British, and long-settled immigrant groups—deserve policies that strengthen shared identity and social trust, not ones that can feel like official prioritisation of newcomers. High immigration levels in parts of the UK have correlated with concerns over cohesion in some areas, even if overall crime stats are debated. Public confidence matters; when locals perceive their city council as more focused on sanctuary branding than everyday issues like crime, litter, or youth opportunities, alienation grows.

Nid yw deisebau sy'n gofyn i'r Senedd ymyrryd ym mhenderfyniadau gweithredol neu weithredoedd awdurdodau lleol yn dderbyniadwy.

Yn hytrach, gallech ystyried cysylltu â Chyngor Caerdydd neu’ch cynrychiolydd lleol i drafod y mater.
