Deiseb a wrthodwyd Switch the awarding of A Levels, AS Levels and GCSEs from computer algorithm to teacher predictions.

Too many A Level students yesterday received results that didn’t properly reflect their hard work, the algorithm used disadvantaged many students in processing into their next stage of life i.e. Univeristy.
With GCSEs next week who could potentially face the same issue that A Level students faced, change is needed. Students this year have had to endure so much hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, both mentally and physically. For students to be disadvantaged by a computer algorithm is wrong.

Rhagor o fanylion

By switching the awarding process to teacher predictions, not only gives relief to students, but also means that people will be awarded more fairly. Teachers know exactly what their students are capable of, what their strength and weaknesses are and what they would have truly been capable of achieving if the summer 2020 examinations were to go ahead.

Pam gwrthodwyd y ddeiseb hon?

Mae deiseb yn bodoli eisoes ar y mater hwn. Ni allwn dderbyn deiseb newydd os oes un yn bodoli eisoes ar fater tebyg iawn, neu os yw’r Pwyllgor Deisebau wedi ystyried deiseb debyg yn ystod y flwyddyn ddiwethaf.

Mae deiseb arall sy’n galw am ddyfarnu graddau a ragwelwyd i fyfyrywyr y disgwylir iddynt gael canlyniadau arholiadau yn 2020 eisoes yn casglu llofnodion: https://deisebau.senedd.cymru/deisebau/200222

Byddech yn fwy tebygol o gael canlyniad ar y mater hwn pe baech yn llofnodi a rhannu’r un ddeiseb.

Dim ond deisebau nad ydynt yn bodloni’r safonau ar gyfer deisebau y byddwn yn eu gwrthod
